Wide 5's adapter plates
Hello,
I am buying a 1970 lowlight kombi that's got front disc brakes and rear drums from a 1971 (small 5 bolt pattern).
I want to fit the original wide 5 steely's back on but retain the later model brakes.
Is there an adapter plate i can bolt on to do this?
Thank you.

And re-drill the front discs as well?
Thank you.

id go new over redrilled as the stock discs and drums dont have the thicker material needed where you will be drilling.

I dont think it will be possible to re-drill your existing set-up to suit wide 5 stud pattern, there wont be emough material to fit the wide 5 stud
pattern 5 x 205mm.
You'll have to change your brake set-up completely or go down the path of adapters, which has legality issues as previously stated.
Cheers

Ok, thank you guys. I'll do some further research into new brake sets and make a decision from there. It's a shame to buy new brake sets when
someone has gone to the trouble of fitting later model discs.
