I work on damaged classic cars, and Shannons is much easier for the customer. More expensive, but less hassle. LSV is cheaper, but if you have an
issue, it wont be resolved as easily.
I personally have one car with Shannons, and one with LSV, as they have different pricing and different operations. It is what suits you that will
make your decision.

Shannon's all the way 138 bucks a year for my 58 beetle driven as a weekend cruiser and insured for $8000.I have all 4 cars and my house and contents
with them.
Great customer service as most of the guys and girls are enthusiasts themselves so they will listen and feel your pain if ever anything went wrong.

Better brace yourself when you get quotes for CTP insurance!
Rego is just over $200 a year, insurance who knows! CTP is a joke with the current rate of prices.
I've been with Shannons for a few years now and have been happy with them, as for CTP, your best to just find the cheapest around. Note that Shannons
offers discounted CTP greenslips for customers with full comprehensive cover, so it may work out cheaper that way too.
Thats not rust, it's ah ... orange primer ... yep that's what it is ...

If you car is stock in good road worthy condition but been out of rego for more thank 3 months (I think). Blue slip $54 and green slip $530 + or - $20
your stuck with the higher green slip price because of the new rego. Shop around for property and comprehensive insurance.

I was with NRMA (now IAG) for about 20 years, and when I eventually needed to make a good size claim on my bug, I had to battle them for about 5
months.
I have been with Shannons ever since, and made 1 good size claim with them - no problem at all.
Shannon's may be a little dearer (although not much), but at least I know if I do need to make a claim, I won't go through the agony I did with AIG.
We have our Bora with them as well as the bug, and I would highly recommend them.

NRMA have a division called vintage and classic. I got an excellent rate for my beetle. I have not had to make a claim with them so far so can't
comment on that part of their process.

dont waste your time with anybody else go directly to shannons!
youl only get a greenslip from shannons if your insured with them and if you find it cheaper anywhere else (i doubt you will) theyl match it.
Nrma AAMI GIO ALLIANZ these punks all use second hand parts when it comes to fixing your car so i wouldnt recommend these mofos
Iv got my bug, bora, fully sik txfree and my house with Shannons.....
Doo it!

I havent had to claim yet with shannons, but very easy to deal with over the phone. They have also been happy to drop the price back on mine as it
progressed from daily to weekend only to unregistered "project" insurance (fire theft and damage on tilt trays etc)
