advise wanted on chrome bumpers

just wanted to get an idea off you on roughly how often(eg rarely, never, sometimes etc) front and rear chrome bumpers that would be correct for a 56 Oval are offered for sale thru the forum or elsewhere and what you might expect to pay for them ranging from from crap condition to good condition?
I know its a how long is a piece of string question but any infos good.

check out EBAY...

crap bumpers are usually free...

You can buy New stainless steel bumpers and over riders..

the blade bumpers You need were used up until approx 1962 on the deluxe beetles...
and up till about 1967 on Custom beetles [although these were stainless steel not chromed]

Just make sure that You don't get ones with the extra holes in them for the large over riders [towel rail type] 62-67

because of their size...
best to pick up locally...
at swap meets for used ones....

Good quality chrome plating will cost about $400 a bar so it make's the stainless one's look cheap.
