Paint & Restore Time Again!
Well my bug was painted back in 2000 and it's time for a change.
It will be in the shop from about June and there isn't a rush, I just want it done in time for the start of summer.
As you can see below, it's currently painted in Super Sonic Blue Pearl. And below the current pic is the paint it's going to have
I'll keep this thread updated over the next few months as things progress.
This is the paint it's going to have:
1971 VW Beetle

Aww man... I was hoping after 15 years or so, this chamelion paint fad would finally have run it's course.
I know it takes all kinds to make the world go around, but surely just leave this style of paint to the fast & furious type. your current paint
looks fine.

Actually, I reckon it looks great on the rounded shape of a beetle. Better than on cars with flatish panels.

What colour have you chosn to paint your '71 Beetle?
I agree with Doka Dave, Vlad and Lucky Phil: "Avoid the chameleon look."
Your car is a '71 Beetle, not a MY03 WRX.
Chameleon paint jobs, just like huge 18 inch + chromies, double plain wings and gaping front spoilers... DON'T work on a old Beetles
Heck, even the '65 Chevy in the picture above doesn't look right!
Choose a colour that fits your Beetle.
However, it your car!
