1st drive in my Bug ( Pic added)

I had my first drive after picking up the car on Friday afternoon in the traffic - not a good or enjoyable drive after what i had today.

headed up the pac hwy from home as its on the door step.

got the feel of the car on the drive up to Mt White and then openned her up on the way back - WOW

handles great - enough power, and I had turned down the shift light point to 5800 and I only noticed it come on once.

had fun with a WRX and and MX5 which I was able to leave behind - the MX5 did ok but the WRX had nothing.

Anyway I just thought i'd let you know, Happy to go driving up there when ever (as long as the missus and the 15 month old are able to do with out me - that is until I have the baby seat in the back then he will be joining me but i might have to take it easy then as its Fu*king loud (and back firing when i get off the loud pedal every time- might need a tune not sure).

When I took the pic a guy on a bike pulled over to ask if everything was ok - I don't think he would have pulled over if I was in the work X-Trail.

I hope everyone had as good an afternoon as i did today out in the bug in the sun.

cheers.

Hi guys very happy with the purchase - I hope to get out and about in it and i'm looking forward to meeting a few of you around and maybe going for a cruise etc.

I am thinking i might try to get to the bugs and bus thing up the central coast on the 3 of July (I know i might sound precious but I wont go if it raining). I saw the thread on the 2011 events last night. might meet some VW people then.

When you get to the Central Coast keep going north, it's at Lake Mac. and a good show, another one by Rose and Ian :tu:
