Wiring harness/Loom

Hi all,

I want to replace the wiring harness/loom in my car ..the kits available from the US are very expensive ....are they the same as the Beetle and can anyone tell me where I can get one here in Australia ...even Brisbane?
All help sincerely appreciated!:!:

Leave the stock wiring to be repaired if necessary....WAY better than anything you can buy.

Good advice, Matt. The original harness survived the 'roll' on No.8 Beetle, and I re-used it. Take care with the wires around the engine, as they tend to get harder with age [half their luck :smirk:] I managed to drag a '3-core flex' through the old choke cable conduit, for the tacho, oil pressure & temp. gauges.

I'd rather wear a Beetle out by racing it than by polishing it!

Not really, Your 182 uses a late loom that is VERY different than an early/6V loom.
