Help with pricing a 1970 Bettle 1500
Hi! I was wondering if any can help me? I have a 1970 Beetle 1500, it has orginal green paint and a re-conditioned VW Combi engine in it. It has a
little rust in the back panels down near the steps on both sides plus a little surface rust here and there. She starts first go and is in good
condition. I was going to restore her but my circumstances have changed and so instead of her rusting in my back yard I thought I would sell her to
someone who can restore her. My problem is I have no idea what she is worth. Can any one give me some suggestions please. Thank you. i realise
without pictures it is a litlle hard but I just need a rough idea?

Hi again....I know it is a little hard for ideas when you cant see it but I just need a rough idea?? I love my bug but just can't afford to do her up
the way she should be and I don't want her to end up going rusty and sad.

A rough idea would be between $500 and $3000
There are so many factors, such as rego left? roadworthy certificate? tyres new? exhaust new? interior new? windscreen or rubbers new? any wiring
issues?

I'd agree with that. $500 for a rough one up to $3000 for a good one. Rust probably means that it needs a bit of bodywork so maybe $2000 maximum?

Thanks. It is roadworthy, I just couldn't afford to re-register her. She is in good condition and no dents. Everything on her orginal except for
the engine. Thanks agin for the replys |

If it is sold with a current roadworthy certificate, so the new owner can jump in and drive, then max $2000. With no paperwork, the appeal to buy and
drive is gone. The price drops accordingly.
When you say it has a Kombi engine, do you mean a Type 4 engine, being a 1700, 1800, 2 litre? With twin carbs?
