61 slammed Pobjoyed rocket!

Hi All

Just thought I would show off my new weapon.
Its a 1961 original paint (mostly) bug
She now has

4.5" narrowed adjustable beam DUB
Wide 5 front disk breaks
Adjustable rear spring plates
Pro street Rancho trany
Empi trany strap kit
Solid mounts
Stan Pobjoy built 1916cc Twin ignition Steroids on steroids engine built around an alloy case.

Am more than stoked with the HP this puts out. Nothing more exhilarating and demoralizing (for the bogan) when you blow off a current SS commodore at the lights or anywhere. Have so much fun in this car!

I hope you like the pics

Parts cost around 7 grand all up sourced myself from USA and oz. Labour for Stan to machine and assemble is very fair in my opinion. Wont say on a public forum.
I have owned a Pobjoy built Steroids engine in the past and couldn't kill it. As long as you maintain the engine to Stans spec. Then a ex mate of mine bought it off me and obused it but still to this day she go's fine. Thats 10 years of abuse. So when I decided to get back into a fast VW it was a no brainer. Like all things in life in my opinion you get what you pay for.

Hi Gracey
Standard gearing. But all gears are welded with a beefed up diff etc. So far have had no problems but will pop out of first when you back off the revs hard. Might be a shifter issue to. Will try sort it one day..

I'd be surprised if it made more than 120 to 130 ATW, still good though.
