I would think that there would be some long term wear on the inside of the tyre, but how much wear?

hmmm? thats a weird way of balancing your tyres, guess is works like a harmonic balancer?
Its just easier to use the mag wheel weight as you don't see them much and don't damage your rim like standard weights.

tyre balancing balls???????
I found girl sucked into car blower great too Kev
was after the beads video.. lol
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
those beads work excellent..
and I don't believe they would wear your tyres ...
but Would stop You needing to have Your tyres balanced...
so save You money...
I wonder how much Your tyres wheels could be out of wack
for them to work...
the plastic bottle had very little weight... next to nothing..
a tyre wheel package already has a lot of weight...????
what happens if its already perfect???????

A great idea,.,... Lee

You won't get a good balance that way. You need to balance in two planes to get a dynamic balance.
