Aussiepost Scam ???
Heres the story,i bought a steering wheel from a guy in VIC he express posted it to me in nowra NSW it took 3 days to get here,on the aussiepost con
note its says guaranteed next day delivery. So i ring aussiepost and ask them how this works and they asked me what post code it was sent from and
where it was sent to etc etc, they told me that doesnt fall into the express post area,so i said why dont you tell the customer this instead of letting
them pay extra for a service that doesnt work, they told me the customer should ask,and if he had sent it normal post would have only taken 2 days .So just how many people do you think aussie post scam with this ??? i bet
there making a fortune out of people who dont know this.
Sorry but i cant repeat what i told the guy(i think he was gay)on the phone what i thought of non aussie post
cheers shane.

anywhos yep yellow express post are really only good for capitals and major towns,
poor old country cousins get a a better deal with cheaper regular post arriving in about the 2-3 days..
ive have this happen to me and learnt too
it basically says it on the big yella post boxes but usually some cock has tagged mindless interplanetary BS all over the mailbox
what evar happened to burning on trains??
maybe all the train taggers were mowed down by the 5.10pm non-stop all stations suburban

Yes,
I found that out a long time ago Shane
and I tell people who I buy from on EGAY NOT to send express post... [not that there is anything wrong with that]
lol
as overnight is mostly capital cities only...
local post office people are good here...
plus they are Post Office employees NOT a private post office.
cheers

have you tried to send stuff overseas with auspost?
I wanted to send a 2kg item to the states, quoted 70 buks for the cheapest option, sea freight.
just a joke, I didn't even bother

Here is a better one Shane,my wife sends her passport by registered post as required to the Russian Embassy,it takes 6 days to get to Sydney,5 days to
get the visa and 7 days to return . I emaiiled aust post in reply to their satisfaction questionaire and the sheila rings me,I am a little peeved of
course and tell her that I could walk to Sydney and back in the time that it takes either way,she says "let me educate you on the way the post system
works" wrong thing to say to an old bloke who is pissed off and has had his wife stressing in his ear for a week. Apparently the registered post bag
sits there until it is full or the pick up day and then is freighted and can't be tracked until it turns up somewhere,of course I ask why and she
tells me that I should send it Express post premium (that I don't know exists) But they still took my money for an inferior service which was how we
were told to use.
My Little rant.
On the upside the passport turned up the day before my wife had to leave.

You should have read the instructions on the envelope.
I read it on samba, so it must be correct.
Sometimes Volkswagen dealers sell spare parts. Amazing isn't it!

You shouldn't have to read the fine print.......they should tell you if they know that it's a bad deal!
Thanks for the warning, Shane. I've probably wasted a few dollars
so far, but at least I know now.
I'd rather wear a Beetle out by racing it than by polishing it!

Some of the reason I buy parts from over seas.
1. availability of item.
2. postage from the other side of the planet is quicker then auspost from town to town.
3. postage price from other countries is just about on par with auspost prices.
4. people over seas are generally not slack at posting stuff, unlike the majority of sellers here.

aussie post has been making declining profits and volume 0n its snail mail due to electronic messaging. They are scraping every cent they can out of
the surge in online shopping and parcel deliveries section. they also shut down the cheaper option of sea mail (surface mail is just unscheduled air
mail cargo) thus eliminating any cheaper competition.
Customer service is not dead in Australia.

Umm, no - AustPost made a record profit last quarter due to the amount of stuff being sent around from online shopping.
http://technologyspectator.com.au/industry/retail/aust-post-profit-lifts-grow...
Others are right tho - ExpressPost isn't worth it, and just plain old standard or registered mail is the way to go.
