Portawall whitewall insert tyre size question

Hi lads
I have 15x6 wheels for the rear of my beetle, and I have some 3'' wide portawalls
Will the portawalls sit properly on 165/65?
Or should I go up to a 185/65?

Cheers
Matthew

The rear is dropped 2 outer splines, so clearance could be an issue with some larger tyre sizes

Do you think that marginal amount, 165 to 185 will make a difference to how the portawalls are fitted?

Dunno really
I know that they are very difficult to get to sit right and tyre size or sidewall bulge has alot to do with it
Just wanna really know what others have had success with
