tubbing my kombi


ok
i wont to go reeeeaaaaallllllll low so i have decided i need to tub my beast!!! i will eventually air bag it so it saves me from doing it then (plus i dont wont kidney troubles at a young age)
anyone done it/got and good tech articles?

sweet idea, as for how possible it is, or how difficult... now what would be really cool is if you cut the seams and lowered the body over the chassis like the old hotrods (called channelling i think). u must remember rear wheels are near engine and front wheels are beneath seat, making it rather more difficult then in other cars, maybe channelling is the go?

What are the wheels off or what are they called? they look good can't wait to see it with the V6. have to get some pics of my V6 3.8 bay up soon. What are you doing with the radiator is it going on the front?

yes the wheels are kool but they have the worng offset:( i need to find some i think i might get some 5 spoke Ford mags.
i was gonna go the rat look and still properly will but i wont to paint it matte blue and deck the inside out like a pimp mobile (all fury stuff)
but i have a mad obsession with gettinmg it low!!!!
I NEED BAGS!!!!!!AND IT NEEDS A TUBBING!!!

Is that first pic, an example of 'tubbing' what is it ??!?!? Also does anyone in OZ do that cool suspension switches thang that the yanks do, where with the flick of a switch you can lower your suspension ?!?!? Who does it and what is the $$$$

There are two ways of doing "the switch" thing! Airbags, and Hydrolics! There are a few ppl doing the airbags and a few doing Hydros! Fabricate this In melbourne do bags as well as Burnin Kustoms in Brisy! Both very good work, But It aint cheap! http://www.fabricatethis.com  and http://www.burnincustoms.com.au

what are fabricate this like N??? burning said it usually is about 4 grand for bags installed and shit! are they easy to install buy urself??

With Burnin, make sure its for bags at the front and not Air Cylinders! About 4 grand is pretty right for a basic set up!
