Viber - free calls txt - any good? any users?


hey
a friend told me about the app to download called Viber
it's VoIP for android or iPhone n between other phones with it, it works out VoIP for calls n txts so all but FREE!
any users here?
is it any good quality wise?
n does it steal all ur info for no good like friend face?

I've used it, far as I can tell no one has stolen my identity or details. The voice calls are ok, but get quite crackly if your "reception" is bad - this can vary from Excellent to Crackly from within the 3 square metres of my kitchen... The messaging is the same as any other data messaging program/app on smartphones these days - see also WhatsApp and KakaoTalk which I believe is more popular with the Asian community.

crackly phonecalls...is odd with digital signals.. on a mobile..

any info appreciated

i have it and stopped using it, calls were always hard as it was crackly, i like an app called heytell wich is also free but you send messages like a walkie talkie, we use it for work in our painting crew, heytell gets my vote over viber

I have my son traveling around Europe and have been using it for 3 months. Great to talk for 30 minutes and not pay. Reception has not been an issue as long as he can get reception where he's staying. I think its great!
