idea of costs... check costs


hi, i have cb drop spindals and new king pins. i need someone to supply the carriers machine them to suit my spindals and press the king pins in, how much would this cost. thanks greg

thanks for the replies, i have already had it done i was asking so i could check against the price i paid. i supplied the new king pins the drop spindals.[ they supplied shims separately for when i assemble it onto the car] they supplied the actual carriers that the king pins are pressed into.

I'm looking at getting the same thing done - where would one look to get them reamed and pressed etc?? A general mechanic or suspension joint?

bummer, I paid 300 each to get mine done (without new shimms mine you) and they are junk 2 years later :mad:

So theres an indication anyways

unfortunatly its a LABOUR intensive process
and i would suspect at least over $300

+ plus the kits are getting harder to purchase Kombi ones are even worse

Exchange should be around $200-250 with German parts, plus the carriers you wanted supplied which $100 or so would be reasonable......if it was a good job, you should be happy IMO.

what do u think, i supplied king pins and new spindals. this is not fitted to beam . company supply & machine carriers, supply link pin shims [not link pins] and press in king pins. $434
