Who did you end up ordering your struts through??
I'd be really interested to see how low you can get it.
We're about to make a start on getting my mum's old 'L-bug' back on the road, would be super sweet to have it sitting down a bit 8)
I look forward to some more progress 8)

How low do you wanna go?
the early 3 bolt struts can drop pretty well with shorter struts.
i've had my sway bar 2" off the road but lots of people go stupider than that....

fat lady is pissing oil out...im still driving it but she is leaving a nice satin wherever i park...some times its a little sometimes alot....she is
my daily so dont want her off the road too long....who in melb, (im now in sunbury) would be able to have a quick peek at her and see if they can
figure out where its coming form...i know many of u are a wizz with vw engines..so rather than me poke about guessing..i figure one of you guys would
figure it out alot quicker, and more accurately....if she is cactus or a big big job..ill just get another engine....dont want to spend too much time
or money on her as want to get into the volksrod. cheers

I had my first crack at dropping the motor on Saturday. Start to finish 2 hours, but I was very hesitant, "measure three times cut once" sort of
deal. If I was doing it again I reckons it's 30-45 minutes and that's probably still being careful. Everything you read says it's easy and it
really is http://www.vw-resource.com/engine4.html
