New Wiring Loom question

Okay,

question for anyone who has fitted a Watsons Street Works Wiring Loom (or similar) in place of your original VW loom - or if you are knowledgeable in the ways of amps and volts etc....

When doing the headlight wires - my diagram says to wire it all back through a switching relay - are they just talking of a switch or do I need to find a relay? If a relay - where can I get one if I don't have any of the original wiring loom/panel/switches and relays? (It was all taken out before I got the car years ago).

Cheers

Any auto shop has 5 or 4 pin universal relays available, either will do but the 5 pin sometimes makes wiring easier with the extra load terminal.
