The South African Speedster
I thought that I'd stop lurking as I've got a tonne of info from this site and show what I have.
Gary from South Africa here, driving a 1956 speedster repop with a 2.0l water cooled motor.
Had the car for about 3 years now and lost patience with a type 4 build and decided to go the water cooled route. In South Africa, the ONLY acvw parts
we get are cheap chinese stuff, so that meant importing. Anything from bearings to decent hardware has to be brought in from the US. Where with water
cooled stuff I can go down the road and get a complete watercooled rebuild kit for a few bob.
I'll update the rest in the conversion thread.

Thanks bud.....
LMAO..........having a hoot on here at the moment, loads of conversion info and pics.
I'm more or less in the same boat, I sold my fleety to a guy in the UK and I'm still getting flack about it. Personally as long as the rides are
being looked after and driven, I don't care where they go........
