Ok the supers started in 71. Are you sure it's a 70 super could you have the year wrong
Also are you looking for front or back.
Fronts you need the macpherson strut inserts which only fit the supers. Then you need to get the right version as there is 2 bolts and 3 bolts

mate, first thing i think you need to do is figure out if its actually a 71 or later super or just a standard. have a quick look under the front
guards and see if you can see struts or a beam.
then that should help you figure out what you have.
rego papers arent always correct ether.

i just checked the chassis no. and it is a 71. And yes it is a super beetle! I actually own 3 and it's quite obvious that its a super beetle. all i
was asking was what shockers are fitted on this model? as they are different to a deluxe 63.

The front shockers are totally different to a 63. Not even close to the same in size or fitment.

Still haven't mentioned yet, front, rear or both?
Rear is easy just need IRS shocks.
Swing axle use same shock but it's missing the wider spacer at the base..
front you will need these strut inserts,
http://www.justkampersaustralia.com/shop/strut-insert-front-j14687.html
remove the struts from the car, compress the spring, dissasemble and fit the new insert.
Have fun, the strut base will probably be siezed into the spindle

WELL IT MAY HAVE BEEN MADE IN 1970 BUT ITS STILL A 71 model and the chassis number should stsrt with 111 XXX XXX
VW enthusists know Superbugs came out in 1971 VW year model
Are You talking about rear shocks? as they are similar to a 1963 beetle but the front shocks are McPherson struts that bolt thru the body - and are
part of the steering..
open the bonnet and see the 3 nuts either side..
similar to a Golf etc or most modern cars..
and look like the pic Joel has put up..
Rear shocks are easy to take off on a super..
Fronts can be a pain or a garage job...
