[FS - NSW] 62 Beetle project SOLD!!

I was working on this car in an attempt to have it ready for Valla but it has to go to fund another purchase.
It has an original 40hp stale air motor that runs well after a carb adjustment. Drops a little oil and has a bit of endplay but is a good unit.
Gearbox shifts well and clutch is fine.
Converted to dual master and has new wheel cylinders and shoes all around. Some fine tuning needed but all plumbed in.
Still 6 volt and needs new battery. Lights and indicators also need sorting but it's little stuff.
Rust in drivers side front wheel arch and A-pillar. A couple of other places will need attention eventually but so far they are ok. Door bottoms are fine and pan is spotless.
Original paint is gone on most of the car although it's still there under a coat of black house paint in the interior.
The roof trim is pretty bad but it can be tidied up. New window seals are also needed.
With the car comes the original seats which probably need new covers but are mostly ok. There are also a full set of original door cards from another Beetle, the rear and passenger side are brick red and the driver side is slightly darker red, although it may just need a really good clean. These are in excellent shape.
Car will come with some factory wide 14" rims and a set of standard 15" skinny rims. There's also a replacement passenger side running board and some other bits.
If you are good with a spanner and can weld just a little this car will be road ready in a weekend and it makes the perfect basis for a rat. It goes, it stops, it's only peripherals keeping it from a blueslip.
If you'd like to inspect it it's currently at the Volksmuller workshop in Annangrove but it needs to go pronto. I don't have a postcode for Annangrove but it's Rouse Hill, Dural area in Sydney.

SOLD!!

How much work would need to be done to get this driven back to QLD?

I want to have it, but location is a problem. It will be too expensive to pick up or freight. I would drive it back, with day rego

We don't have RWCs in NSW, we have blue slips.
I reckon if the QLD registry are happy to grant the day rego and the car looks safe and not like a wheel will fall off or it'll leap off the road any second the police will leave it alone.
Drive it like you stole it and have it wobbling all over the place, well, serves you right, doesn't it?

Yep, but since this hasn't had rego for 20+ years I think it might JUST be out of pink slip territory....... ;)

Likewise, mate.
It's nice to know it's going to a good home where it will be finished and loved.
Looking forward to the build and the finished product.
