30/31 PICT jets and vacuum tube
I am about to fit a Solex Brosol 30/31 PICT carburettor to my 1600 TP engine for my buggy.
On the side of the carburettor and just below the automatic choke mechanism there are two brass jets.
What are they?
One is marked 9150 and the other is marked 9165.
Which jet goes in which hole?
Also which of the four brass tubes that are on the sides of the carburettor is for the distributor advance and retard?
There are three on the side opposite the float bowl with relatively large holes in them. There is one beside the big air bleed screw and which has a
very small hole in it.
Having used one of these for the distributor, should the others be blocked off or connected to something else? If so, what else?

I've finally worked out what the 4 tubes in the carby are for.
The one near the air bleed screw is for the distributor. It has a small hole to react to changes slowly, not with a bang. It has been plumbed in to
the distributor.
The others are for anti-polution gear that is not used here in Oz. They have been blanked off.
I'd still like to know which jet goes in which hole.

The jet that goes straight into the right side ofthe carby is the idle jet, this will be the 9150 (or 50)
And the jet that goes into the carby on and angle towards the rear is the power jet, this will be the 9165 (or 65)
Do not over tighten them, just snug them in!
