Milk crates
Apologies in advance if this is common knowledge but Bugger me if an upturned plastic milk crate is not the perfect height to sit on while swinging
spanners under a Beetle engine lid
Was just bustin my already rooted knees replacing the manifold boots on my 1600tp and tried sitting on one, Perfect. Now all it needs is some
wheels

Get an old office chair, take the back off it and set the seat at it's lowest setting, ideal and has a padded seat and wheels

Only 4......I just hope the milk-man NEVER looks in my shed.
I'd rather wear a Beetle out by racing it than by polishing it!

I've had these for years now, but only because the backs were breaking off our computer chairs! Put them down in the shed and found them to be very
handy.

Your original idea is the best - a milk crate.....but it needs to be casterated.

get some caster wheels from a hardware shop and bolt them to some falcadore seats and then you got the perfect work shop low rider seats for doing
