Air vents

Hello Fellow VW -ers
I have picked up my 1968 Beetle and it has no front airvent everything is missing plus the heatinghas been removed. Anyone out there have a photo of what I need to get to fix this ? Or any photos on the net ? I'm very new to the VW but love it.

Thanks

Frank

Hi

It might be a 67 model then if it has no front air vents. Does it have 4 or 5 stud wheels? Is there a hole in the bonnet for vents?

Welcome to VW world.

Hi Frank,
sounds like your missing the fresh air box?]
Don't know why so many people throw them away, it just lets the rain pour in over the radio and wiper motor.

Hi frank
Many people take the heater boxes out or don't replace them and use J pipes which take their place..
it is common where it doesn't get that cold in the winter..
You should find the two fresh air heater hoses missing on the engine too.
they are the two red hoses on My engine..
also showing You a heater box..

You can put all these back on...

and as Joel etc suggested, the fresh air box in the front may be missing.. but that would be weird as the rain would come into the boot???

You can usually find all that stuff at swap meets..

or someone on here may have the bits..
do You still have the three black vents under the windscreen?
