Turbo oiling suggestions or tips?
Good evening! How you all doing?
Out of curiosity, how do you plumb in your oil line for your oil delivery to your turbocharger?
I see some people fit the oil pump cover with the oil fitting to deliver both oil to the turbo, and oil to the main bearings. This wouldn't stave the
bearings by robbing their oil supply?
Would supplying high pressure oil from the T at the oil pressure switch be another appropriate option? Again, it wouldn't stave the oil bearings
would it?
I notice that oil return tends to go back into a valve cover, does this sound appropriate?
any help will be greatly appreciated,
thanks in advance
Christopher.

Ball nearing turbo uses minimal oil... Upgrade pump to compensate? Drain to sump if you can... No point having extra hot oil sitting on rockers is
there?

Getting oil to drain away from the turbo is a more important consideration than the supply, especially in a low mounted setup. T from sender is
usually adequate

T off send works for supply, bush bearing turbos don't need an oil restrictor bb do.
Oil should return above sump level, if needs be use a scavenge pump.

I had to restrict the oil feed on mine, i just plugged the T piece off the and ran a 1mm carb jet drill through it but the seals in my turbo were also
pretty well fooked.
Heed the advice above, a good drain is important if you dont want a disco smoke maching following you eveywhere.
I tapped mine into the Alt stand but into the rocker covers works well too.l
