Where is the 2012 Beetle???
Last year and in years previous i heard about the new 2012 beetle and i have seen the pictures but it's now 2012 and still no beetle???
Does anyone know whats going on with it?

It has been released overseas but it is not due to get here until next year. I think February is the due date but I am sure someone else can confirm
the timing. I also heard there is no cabrio version being done as VW think they have it covered now between the Gold cabrio and EOS.

There was a Cabrio New New Beetle in the Wolfsburg Autostadt carpark when I was there a few weeks back.
Didn't think it was anything special or rare or I would've taken a few pics of it !!!

Interesting. I am not surprised that he would be wrong as his product knowledge seemed pretty poor but the salesman at the dealer in Newstead told me
there was no cabrio coming.

The one I saw was silver with a dark roof (which was up)... I thought it was just a car of somebody visiting, but maybe it was a press demo vehicle or

The Beetle sedan will be at the Sydney Motor Show, which starts on Friday. VW Australia has borrowed some vintage VW DVDs from Club Veedub to help
with the launch. Yes it's supposed to be released in February. It will only be a niche model; VWA's priority at the moment is launching the Up!,
which will be a much bigger seller. The Cabrio has not yet gone on sale overseas, so it probably won't make it here before the end of 2013.
