Thanks Mate, thats a pretty big call. I think I really stood out for the simple fact I had the only KG there. All the ride were sweet, mainly because
I'd never seen them before. The Melbourne Dub sceene rocks, but I still miss the Sydney runs and shows.

Mods...
Well it's got wheels, which need some new tires so I can slam it, at the moment they would rub if lowered. It's also got extractors and a single
quiet pack Empi exhaust. Carb is a single 44IDF on a pretty well stock 1600TP. Engine goes ok but saving the pennies for something that really rocks.
I just put in a stereo, two 7x10s, two 10" subs and two 6" which I am going to mount in the doors with nice new custom door cards. Powered by a 625W
Coustic AMP and head unit with MP3. Soon (hopefully) whack in my car computer for stacks of music!
The interior is all black carpet with a custom centre console (not quite finished cos I'm slack). I need a new headliner though.
What does the future hold? Big engine. Slammed. New front Guards. Anything else people reckon I should do?

Thanks for the info Beerdoc. I plan to do the new one in the next couple of months. No way I'm fitting it myself, from what I've heard it's a
horrible job if you havn't done it before.

Go the struts, Im doing an L Bug as well. Ive been told that the later mudguards with the triangle shaped bumper bracket holes are slightly wider.

Steve,
In regards to guards, the triangle ones aren't really wider, they are higher though and stick out more at the back. I don't think they look as nice
as regular Superbug ones. The reason I knwo is that I have a Super guard on one side and an L guard on the other, hence the reason I need a new
one.
I'm finding it damn hard to source a left front Super guard, been looking for months!

Beerdoc,
Go here http://www.superbeetlesonly.com/ if you want to
know about supers. There is loads of good info.
Some really nice struts are made by V-Force: Struts link here . A lesser option is some lowered strut cups. It's a pretty cheap option with ok results.
I'm sure Steve and Blue74L know a crapload more than me.

Hi
Im using struts made by Vintage in Sydney, V Force do basically the same thing. They are the best thing you can do to an L or S bug apart from
Nolathane bushes.

I was (and will again) using V Force struts.
You have a choice of insers but the most econiomcal is Sachs Golf inserts and King springs
You can but different stiffness spring / insert for different handling
Have a read of Richard Holzl's stories in VMA and his site is http://www.beetleracing.com

interesting, looks really different, like to see it in the flesh to get the full effect.
BTW, what is the bolt pattern on the slotted rotor you posted before? Looks different to the wheels you have on it, which BTW, look really nice too.

The slotted rotor is one of Blue74L's, not sure what stud pattern, you'd have to ask him. I wish I had them though.
The reason I put the kit on was to make it a bit more unique. There are at least fout tiger mica (metallic orangey) bugs around Melb so I was feeling
a little common. Next on the list of things to do is lowering.
