seats
hey everyone i had this up before but it was lost.
the question was what seats have you used in a bug that were not standard. i.e. what make and model were they out of and how hard were they to fit as
i need a set for chaos as his standards have twists in them from the crash and id like something a little sportier than stock

Yep, I have used Honda Civic seats in the past...
The last two set we (my Brother and I) have fitted have come from a Jap wreckers, just wandered in there with a tape measure and measured anything
that we liked the look of....just make sure that they fold forward so that you can still access the back seat... We have no idea what they are out
of!

one thing to look at also is how the mnounting points are attached to the base of the seat. Most of the honda seats etc have varied height mounting
points so you have to use packers etc. while the after market seats area ll the same level adn easy to attach.
one other thing to note was that to get blue plate in qld the seats must have a aust standard sticker on them WHEN be inspected........ or i was told
when i got mine inspected the first time.

definitely not too wide. look like a crossover between a race and a normal seat. this is a pic of one before re-upholstering.

honda prelude seats in my bug, bit of a tight fit getting to the handbrake, but nothing you can't live with, and they were inspected properly, with
report, so must technically be fine. pretty comfy too

how about some MX5 seats or something? integra seats were nice last time i checked. who cares about the runners. have them in a fixed place. rip the
back seats out and have them set up for you.
passengers can suffer
