removing axels from trans


how do i get the axels out of the trans? i'm trying to replace my trans
any help would be great.

swing axle or CV joints ??? what year model

its easier to do with the gearbox out of the car

So remove the brakes and backing plate and breaing retainer

remove the rubber axle boot cover near the gearbox

undo the 6 x 13mm nuts holding the axle cover to the gearbox

u need a larger set of cirlip pliers to remove the inner circlip

once this is off they should slide off

u may need a bearing puller as well for the outter wheel bearing

hope this helps
