Love it can't wait to see peters return to the track. Looking forward to an event were Peter could line up with Henry for a classic burn down. Best
of luck with the build Peter I'm sure you will have plenty of support when you return. Who's arm can be twisted into returning next.

Awsome. It will be fantastic to witness the return of Mr Keagan, and he will certainly be making some power by the looks and sounds on that vid.

I knew he couldn't stay away. He was hatching plans with Fabian years ago. Looks like he could give a few people a scare.

I know this thread has slipped a page, but just had to revive it for a second. Until 2 days ago when I read the "Camel" bug thread, I had no idea an
Aussie was the 1st into the tens........HA, and I thought I cared about VW drag history, shame on me! I always thought the yanks got to lo-11s in the
late '60s then started flipping their bugs onto the roof coz of aero's at 130mph, so switched to other stuff. To see homegrown stuff thump the world
is very cool.
Is it just me, or do others miss the sound of open pipes with no collector? If only for that reason alone, I wish him all the success possible.
That settles it. I'm running 4 open pipes on my Vmax.........

Aussie VW hero Peter Keegan's acheivements in drag racing is a very well kept secret. From a country town in Australia with no real aftermarket parts
avaliable, he and a group of mates produced the worlds fastest VW!Thats something to proud of if you love the underdog! But a bigger secret that needs
to be let out of the bag and the more V8 drag guys knowing this the better. In the 60's and 70's threre wasn't much you couldn't get for your V8
muscle cars to make them even faster but......... Peter Keegan impressive performace benchmarks in Australian dragracing history such as Australias
first 10 second sedan,Australias first 120 mph sedan against cars like the "shaker" are for me the cherry on the cake!

Absolutely! Back in 1982 I didn't have the quickest Monaro in town by a long shot, but mid-14s on skinny radials was good for the day. I went and
sold the 307 HK a few weeks after getn stomped on at Calder by a blown Beetle. My uncle was with me and said I was history before we even lined up,
but I said "No way?!?!'. I've loved dak-dak's ever since........

Methanol ? Looked like large bore fuel lines to the SU's.... What a brilliant setup.... Anyone recognize the blower ?
I recall seeing and hearing a bright yellow supercharged drag bug started at one of the Perth dovw shows in the late 90's.... Open pipes and a
supercharger are something you just never forget
Great to see !

Ron Messina's (nee Harris from Harris Engines in Ozzy Partk) old car.... He's still got it, and I'm still on his back trying to get him to the
track, but he's not interested....

That's the one - had Harris written on the side now that I think about it. Would be great to see it given a rip at the motorplex eh?
