Not a common colour in Australia; reds were comparitively unpopular here. Kings Red was only available 1968-70, probably replaced by the new range of Nissan colours under the local assembly arrangements.

The Australian Dulux colour code was 11234, while VWA's codes were 308 (1968-69) and 17 (1970). 'L30a' code was not used in Australia; however there was a listed 'L30c', Malaga Red, for imported Golfs/Passats in 1978.
