I have a 2000 Mk3.5 Golf Cabrio. I want to widen it's stance, so am thinking of putting wheel spacers on.
Does anyone have any thoughts on the subject?
Thanks.

I've made no plans yet. Am thinking of modest 15mm spacers. I would hope that flares wouldn't be needed for 15mm.Bizarre wrote:Simplisticly running wider track is better for handling than a narrow track.
So..............
Can you put adapters on for the same wheel?
Adapters bolt to the original brake face and then wheel bolts to that.
As opposed to running long bolts or studs??
How do you plan to cover the wheels?
Have you made fibre glass flares or something?

The other thing to remember is the maximum track for the vehicle allowed for reg'n in NSW.Bizarre wrote:What is the current offset of your wheels?
What other wheels could you get?
Might not get 15mmbut might be easier
