Just thinking why do they call them vee dubs? i can understand where the v comes from but where does the dub part from?

it comes from the sound that a hotted up volkswagen with a huge exhaust makes when its idling at the lights i.e. dubdubdubdubdubdubdub etc etc

I had fifteen people telling me to move

I found shelter
In some thoughts turning wheels around
