Has anyone ever fitted/ had any problems with spring loaded pushrod tubes??
Where can I get them from??
Cheers
Graham.
I havent used the spring loaded type but i have used the screw up type.
VVDS sell both - depends what they can get there hands on at the time. They are not THAT easy to come by.
I have friends on SBO who have used the spring ones and had trouble. Just wont seal
I was lucky - a friend got a spare motor and it had eight screw ups on it (heh heh) So i scored one of them
Yep it stopped my leak. The motor is about 2 yrs old and the repair was done ... say a bit over a year ago. Couldnt tell why it leaked - you have to smash it up to get it out. May have split.
I probabally should have used new ones or at least really inspected the old ones - but i am old and impatient.

Futue te ipsum!!!
Should add - i think they were $25 a pop?
Cheap compared to the work it saves.
Futue te ipsum!!!
The screw type ones are better. These should only be used if theres only one tube leaking
If more tubes are leaking your better off pulling the engine and repairing all the other leaks as well.
Spring ones are crap!! The screw type are better,at least you can retension if needed/replace seals without pulling the engine.I have tried both types and have gone back to the standard type as they I have found them to be more reliable....:bounce

Cheers guy`s, it`s just a case of time really. Ideally I would fit the standard ones but pulling the motor/heads is too big a job at the moment.
Graham.
i had a set of pring loaded gold and blue anodised tubes.
they leaked all the time even with new seals.
they are great for emergency replacement as you dont have to remove the heads to fit. but only emergencies.
dont let their looks fool ya.
i recently repolaced with genuine and they are the way to go.
