hey, im rebuilding my 1500 to eventually go in my bug, guna use some dual 28pict carbs and give it an old school kinda look..... so i need a few opinions
not looking for too much performance but chances are il have a dig at porting the heads with the dremmel, unshrouding the valves and whatnot for better breathing, guna use the stock crank, should i change the cam while im in there for something mild...... od keep the stocker? can i get and is it worth straight cut cam gears with the early style cam?
i have extractors aswell for it....... any other suggestions..... failing this il be saving up a HEAP of cash for a 1776 and 1500 gearbox heh e
Straight cuts ..... they were coz they sound cool i have no idea what benefit they would be hehehe...... and id like to keep it 1500 as the rings pistons and everything else is fine and im on a bugdget, rather spend $$ on a cam than more barrels which i can upgrade later with a simple topend rebuild...... should i add rockers or nething like that ?..... any other ideas..... im getting keen to begin hehe
