Yeah, but I wondered if someone went in with an offer after the auction.
If it wasnt so far away I would think about it.

Dean

call me a goose - but am i THAT out of touch with prices??? That has a fair way to go before it is up to the level of the one 2g's bought - no??

It was only a couple of years ago you could GIVE T34's away.

OK - times have changed, but $4 1/2 grand for a shell??

I was trying to sell for a mate an Ascort a while ago for less than that and it was complete (well - all the bits were there + some), rust free (fibreglass) and a real piece of Aust history.

Oh well

Hope you get it Rhys.

Yeah blue the prices are creeping up all right.

I missed out on a perfect one in SA a few weeks ago for $12K.

Wow!

guess i been asleep.

To the same point though - perfect for 12 and a unfinished shell for 4 1/2 - ok 2 shells.

I know which one would work out cheaper in the long run.

Hmmm.... may be 2g's was a steal then???

Judging from this link to its advertisement on carsales.com.au I guess he is looking closer to $8 1/2K:

http://www.carsales.com.au/pls/carsales/!cs_content.private_vehicle?vehicle_id=137982&current_rec=3&total_rec=5&sort_type=&make_id=15&model_id=1301&state_id=-1&search_distance=25

if that link doesn't work, go to www.carsales.com.au then click on private sales, then volkswagen then karmann ghia then all states and it will be there.
