This is mad.. Even better for those of us that have clear lenses.. Let these pics tell the story..

The storyline goes something like this..

Preparing Nellie(HN) for the long haul to Valla. So the cleaning has begun.. Anyone notice my new investment/ anything unusual yet?

We'll soon see...

So what is it? Like Orange inside/Chrome outside? The light looks REAL NICE! Look at the reflection off the bod! It's a work of art!

Yeah it is something like that. If you look at it in the sun, you can see through the chrome to the orange inside.. Awesome.

I have ordered two sets of red and another set of orange for my clear tails too.. Which should be pure madness.. Should make people look twice at Valla.. he he.. :duh

So it must be some sort of funky new foil? And the light goes through it from behind as well as reflecting backwards? It doesn't appear to block any light... Whatever it is it rocks! That looks just so schmicko!

Your local car shop eg. Autobahn etc would be able to get you some..

I think they are made for the ricers..

Complete engine recondition for Valla, which I should have back on the weekend..

In the meantime, tinware powder coated, twin carbs rebuilt, exhaust repaired.. About 2K later..

Oh yep. I'll be there.. (I hope).

i got them on my Audi they cost $40 a bulb

Osram Diadems have a blue/orange tinge to them when not lit up

And the Phillips Silvervisions have a a more yellowy colour when lit but are clear:beer

The Silvervisions are the ones we went in for Costa, but came away with these.. They are some sort of cheap ricer brand, but if they work, and last, then its all good!

Those others sound like HID globes Costa, as in High Impact Definition or some crap.. Essentially that white light that some cars have when you see them, and it seems to change colours and it really bright.. Difference being the gas they burn. Normal globes burn Halogen, but these other more expensive ones burn Xenon.. Burns at a hotter temperature.

nah i was actually talking about indicator lenses not headlights Jim

Im getting Xenons for the Audi 🙂 which have the white blue effect pricey but i got them from Germany at a 1/4 of the price of what they would cost here 😉

But yeah not a fan of the Osrams Silvervisions get my vote but can be exxy how much was this no name brand Jim?

nice att. to detail jim! even cooler would be creaseless blinker lenses so the view of the globe is unadulterated... mmmm

t'would be cool to use LEDs too... esp in the 50's tialights as they have the circular pattern on the lense - one LED for each 'dot'!
