Here is the photo of the woodgrain steering wheel I am putting in my Karmann Cabriolet. Re previous posts on woodgrain dash. Ignore current crappy imitation woodgrain in photo. I am going to have the dash restored and recovered and woodgrain panels made to match the wheel.

Thats Beautiful Pam...
Best wooden wheel I've seen...
I have a new one but its all wooden rim with a steel black centre..
I'll bet that was Expensive...
Looks like it should be in a Maserati or Ferarri...
or a nice Karmann ghia.. with a nice wooden dash..
Good One Pamela...

Wow that whole interior looks pretty slick. For a second there I didn't realise I was looking at a VW.

Lee, not as expensive as you might think considering some wheels can be $500 this one was $270 at Repco and is an Autotechnia. As it is going in a genuine convertible painted Porsche guards red I do not think it will look out of place when the rest of the interior is finished. I am going to try to have the dashboard covered in the same vinyl as on the steering wheel with the woodgrain panels to match steering wheel. Good luck Damien with your dash post some piccies when you have finished it. Pam
