So what is the best excuse you came up with to tell your boss you want time off to go to Valla.
I will start this off...
I never mentioned VW or Valla to my boss...just told him I wasn't available these certain days....Friday 30-Monday 2
Its a VW thing.... he wouldn't understand.

i said that i was having time off to spend some quality time with my wife, since we don't have holidays that fall around the same time.
some people are like slinky's
they have no useful purpose

I had to take holidays, on the application it asked for reason I said religious. Well it is a pilgrimage isnt it!

I too am my own boss but i'll be bringing a little part of my business with me in the form of some kombi & beetle fridge frames & afew other bits & pieces.So everyone has to come & buy one & say gday.:thumb:thumb:thumb
I have just started a new job and taking time off for Valla was a condition that I asked for before accepting the job (they wanted me way more than I wanted them !!!!!!!). Besides my boss is a VW fan, she drives a commodore but secretly wants a slammed cherry red bug
Yar just fill out a leave form and give it to him when you return on the tuesday saying opps i forgot to tell you.
i told my boss i was going to the biggest VW show in oz and i needed thursday till tuesday off......she said ok😎 ..............i got in about 6 months early so i would definatly get it off.

I am like mscabrio I started this new job recently and was worried I wouldn't get time off.
I still have to ask for time off in September (a wedding overseas)so I don't like my chances there.
I hate my job so if they say no....I will just quit anyway.

didn't use an excuse... just filled in the leave request and that's it... pretty much get to take time off whenever i want it. (as long as i have enough annual leave or long service leave that is :thumb )

one of the best things about being a criminal is that my job is portable.... :P😀 nah seriously i'm bummed as i've entered the bridge to brisbane 12k run on the sunday so that counts me out!!! teaches me for not paying attention to dates......
just put the leave form in, but now can work so will cancel the leave form 🙁
