what ever happend to helping your fellow man.
This morning on my way home from work I notice that a car had stopped in the only turning lane at a busy intersection, this was 7:30 am so it wasnt to busy yet but it was going to be very soon.
when I realised that the car had broken down and I saw someone was inside I did a u turn and came back to help.
there was a young girl in the car and was just sitting there so I offered to help her push the car around the corner.
Now there were a fair few cars going past at this stage and not one person stopped and offered to help when they saw this one girl push this car around the corner.
sad, very sad. 🙁

yes volks folk will always stop and help each other but i think the rest of the world will keep on going like they are at the moment. all though the guys i use to work with would also stop and help but thats the small boat mentality in todays RAN. ok its time i said it im a technical sailor in the RAN

its a shame to hear this sort of thing,some of us do stop..... but not as many that should :l
well, late one night, after work approx 12 30 my brake drum comes loose, long story short several cars went past, onme scary drunk bloke in a car that i told was fine and just havin a slash hehe and then 3 blokes that were quite intoxicated walked by and helped me out, good blokes lifted the car up while i fixed the jack, so some people help in the country 😉 dunno was woulda happened in liverpool or campbelltown tho haha

Last weekend I had planned to change my drum shoes and cylinders with a mate, but after ringing around town and finding that the only 36mm socket and drive available (which I needed to do the job) was over $80 I got cheesed. I even tried to hire one locally.
I rang a mechanic in town who does VW work, asked if I could hire his socket and drive for the weekend, and he refused the hire, just wanted to lend it to me! As long as it was back by Monday morning he was happy! I borrowed it, did the job, and returned it with a box of chocky's.
He could have refused (most mechanics would), or charged me an arm and leg, but just handed it over. Nice guy.
yes i know there are some decent people out there. But everyone was just going around this car and me, a 5'5 22 year old girl with an ankle injury is the only one to help.
Good one ya to those people who do help out other's we are a dying breed it seems

Got my kombi 4 days ago.. on the first day i broke down and all i got was beeps and evil looks for about 15 mins, being a girl in a huge bus on the first day i had no idea what to do, but luckily some boys helped me roll the bus down the hill...
Then broke down again yesterday.. and yet more beeps and evil looks.. it was soo rude, they could clearly see that i had my hazard lights on but alot just sat behind me and started beeping.. then after about 20mins so nice workmen decided they would help!

Hide in the front seat really low, and hang a sign on the back saying "SEXY YOUNG INEXPERIENCED GIRL IN NEED OF HELP" I wonder how many people would stop then? Maybe worth an experiment?
