The Official Match Ball used on the game against Portugal, that left UK out of the Europe Cup, the same ball of the penalty, that David Beckham miss, will be auctioned on eBay. Pablo Carral, a fan, catched the ball and he took it out from the stadium.

Is the Official Europe Cup Match Ball, made in Thailand. It has the date of the game, the 24th of June 2004, also the place of the celebration, da Luz of Lisbon stadium

Am I reading that right? Is the current bid over $17million? I can see it has the right number of digits, but the mind boggles at the possibility of someone actually paying $17million for a football which should have ended up in the back of the net.

I wonder if those 141 people considered the possibility that the ball is fake.

Hmm, three people entered the wrong bid amount. Obviously they forgot they weren't eccentric multi millionaires who could afford to spend $17m on a football that may have had a brief fleeting love affair with David Beckham's right foot.

The ball that beckham missed the shot with is for sale but not on e-bay. It is up to 50 thousand bucks at the mo .. the site is something like penaltymiss .com.... i can't remember but it was being talked about on john laws radio show yesterday.
