I am thinking of putting disc brakes on the back of my twin cab and trying to get some feed back about them before hand. I know Indian Automotive sells them for around $7-800 + instillation. But what about increased braking and the availabililty of rotars etc( ea falcon I think) and are the rotars seperate from the hub or axle assembly.

If any one knows anything about them good , bad , or otherwise just go for it and reply to your hearts content :thumb

The CBB rear disc conversion is a good one. Very popular too. Uses all easy to get common parts includes handbrake.

From their info...
When using the CBB rear disc brake conversion in conjuction with the standard Type 2 front disc brakes a well balanced braking bias is achieved far beyond that of the standard rear drum set up. The benefit of a rear disc brake kit is that you will never need to adjust your brakes again as discs are self adjusting.
When using the CBB disc/disc conversion as opposed to the conventional disc/drum set up brake fade is significantly reduced.

CBB Rear Disc Conversions are available for all models of Types I, II & III. For both solutions all components are locally sourced and easily available. The kits have been designed to give you the stopping power you need while not having to chase specialised and expensive parts from overseas or specialty suppliers.

Conversions can be done in house by the skilled CBB staff or can be done at home when purchased as a kit with the supplied easy fo follow instructions.

CBB Rear Disc Brake Conversions for all Type 2 Kombis replace the standard drum set up with a disc and caliper combination which allows the use of your standard 14" rims - a feature no other kit can boast!

No front tyres keep wearing uneven, highs and low spots on the tread and sounds and drives sh#thouse.

mainly from the front discs doing most of the work brake wise, hopefulkly will get more life out of the tyres
