Can anyone tell me if they had fitted a baby car seat in the reverse position in the back of a square back?? I want to know if there is enough clearance between the car seat and the front seats.

Have you got a rear mounting point for the seats rear anchorage? If not you may have to fit a bar across the back. I think Matt has one of those in your garage as he showed it to me when I was collecting the Kombi seats.

Yeah, I just wanted to know if a rear facing seat would fit. Some cars don't have enough room.
OK.. Now I need to know if anyone has or has had a crab bar put into a squareback and where abouts was it situated?? I want to know if it can go directly behind the back seat or if it goes over the engine lid (which I don't want). I have spoken to a car restraint installer but without actually seeing the car they couldn't tell me.

with the trim taken off you have access to the slots shown...
note the access hole marked....
Placing the backing plate and captive nut behind there using the hole fo access the bar can be fixed through the metal the same way they did the bus.
I still would like to hear from someone that has had one installed.
