is there a way to define exactly what year your beetle is by the complients plate, im sure its a 64 however i would like some proof
please help me ASAP

A 64 Beetle doesnt have a compliance plate......
Have to go off the chassis No. under the back seat.

Lift up the back seat, there is a plate that covers the gearshift coupling....it is stamped slightly forward on the tunnel
