my friend whose building the trike also wants to build a vw powered motorbike.
he used to have a bike shop in sydney and raced bikes as well and said in the 70's they used to put 1200 beetle engines into bmw frames
he's looking at a k series bmw frame and as theres nowhere to put the starter motor he's using a reversable generator as a starter. to start it the generator runs in reverse and once engines started it reverts back to a generator?
apparently some briggs and stratton engines use them?
