Hi,
I`m trying to find out some more information about Sopru.
I was wondering if anyone knows the history of the company. I`m trying to find out if my camper conversion was made by them and what sort of date it would have been from.
Would they have been around in the late 50`s/ early 60`s??
Any help appreciated.
Cheers
Graham.

The Esky!
"Sopru" was an Adelaide-based company that had workshops in all capital cities in the 1970s and did camper conversions in Australia from about 1969 to about 2000
and all other info has dissapeared......................
🙂
So that means that they were not around in the late 50`s and early 60`s then??
Anyone have any idea which company could have done this conversion??
Any info greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Graham.

This is not a Sopru conversion. I cannot tell you the manufacturer but I do have a sales brochure for the unit. It is exactly the same conversion as in my 58 Camper ( see avatar). Even down to the same ice box but with different material on the seat cushions ( bed)
Send me an email with address and I will sned a copy of the brochure.
The brochure does not name the manufacturer but I suspect they were from Melbourne.
My conversion is fully restored but have never left my 140kg frame on the bed overnight.

Copy of the brochure will be fantastic, also could you maybe send me some pics of your `58.
Thanks
