Hey All, I am trying to find a decent VW mechanic on Sydney's Northern Beaches, (One that does not Charge an Arm, Leg and a few other parts I quite fancy..)

I have to get the bushings in my KingPin Front end on my Manx re done, Any ideas how much this SHOULD cost...

What parts should I do myself to lower the cost, I plan to remove the lot from the car and give them the Pins so they can match the bushings..

Any info would help and any personal referals would ROK..

Thanks, Dean..

To save money yes remove the axles yourself, Make sure who ever repairs the bushes for you checks your existing axles for straightness and trueness cause your wasting funds if your repairing a bent axle.

If Mark Hammond 20 Ada Avenue 9905-4194 carnt do the repair for you send them over to Vintage Vee Dub at Campise, 9789-1777 they have the bush kits and reamers to do the job, and plenty of good S/H axles to select from if yours are bent.
I read it on FACEBOOK so it must be true

last year I got some stuff of a guy Peter at Ingleside. 0418720186 - 99500705. He was very helpful and had a property with a massive shed full of vw's and parts. He is a mechanic who used to work at a vw place over that way and now he does it from his place. I don't know if he's still there but he is worth a try. Clarkey.

Cool, thanks everyone...

Now, How much should it cost a side, Anyone else got the bushings on there KingPin front done recently...?

Looks Like Volks Bahn will do up a set of KING PINS for $110 (With Bushings) and Stub Axles exchange for $180 but you have to buy new Link Pins and there $100-$150+...

But I am going to try and give them a Little tighten and see if that takes a good bit of the wobble out...
