I work for a coal export port
I schedule the ships to come in, load and then leave full of good old Queensland coal destined for overseas markets !

yeah I suppose it is never think of it like that. You know its just one of the things that you do. Been doing this for around 8 years so its kind of second nature. Very enjoyable and verrrrry chalanging. I almost sound like I like my job !

i have it pretty good
12 days but only 8 day fortnight so can't really complain
Money is really good as well especially since I have no formal qualifications

opps I meant 12 hour days

No I stayed at work
I have a report to have done for the CEO by tomorrow so I should be working on that..........sometime later
I feel so sorry for the farmers
Its is so dry the grass is all crispy !

Yeah the poor buggers need it desperately
Have a mate with a property near Mackay and it hasn't rained since January and even that was just enough to keep the dust down.
I don't know what they live on !

I know us city folk would die if we didn't have our water...We do waste a lot...I think people in Melbourne are more aware these days sinces we've had 2 years of water restrictions..

We just need the rain in the catchment areas.....Rain water tanks at home are a good idea as well in Melb.

Yes have done a fair bit
Will make tomorrow easier as the rest of the world returns back to work so the fone will not stop from 07.00
the worst calls are from the Japs and Koreans .............they are sooooo difficult to understand
Sometimes the fones play up and my line drops out !

Know the feeling we have reservations staff from overseas airlines ring in and sometimes I for the life of me...I can't understand them...I hate having to make them repeat themselves too often but then again have too ...it's usually about a booking problem...or to confirm

Palau ideally but Fiji is looking cheap...even compared to Cairns...return fares for under $500...6 days diving $495..including basic island accomm...

Ningaloo Reef is a bit hard to get too...and would be too expensive this time...March is a good time for there...

My son Simon has just done some diving in Malaysia and says it's well priced and good diving....He's looking at going for his Dive Masters...so maybe he'd be interested in going along?..He's home from 2 1/2 yrs travel to enrol back at uni....
