I have that episode, and a few others.
Apparently the Baja didn't go that well after all. The suicide doors would come open randomly, including on the freeway!
The poor girl was not amused.

Yeah suicides are notorious to living upto their name, particularly the solenoid ones, couple this with how much drag the front of a beetle builds up and you're asking for disaster.
Still damn impressive what they do with some of these cars in a week or 10 days.
Oh the car is cool, I mean I watched the whole episode and everything. Yep, it was the solenoids too..

Suicides are no problem if you use bear claw (burst proof) latches... but then again most people are too slack arsed to do anything properly.
ive begun to notice this too people are rushing things or too lazy to do a job properly and safel, resulting in the above situation.
i just cant see why people would jepordise theres or others safety for the sake of being the first to have it done or to save a dollar. lives arent worth it
