Okay

have found a panel beater that will work on the beetle, and he is even happy to do so 🙂
But I need to borrow a car trailer to get the body over to him. Anyone got one I could borrow for a day to get it there???????
Then the worse one, does anyone have any sort of jig setup to move a body about without it being attached to the pan?? and could I borrow that as well????????????
Need help.....
cheers

I had a jig made up so I could move my beetle body on the back of a box trailer. It tows really well but is underneath the beetle at the moment while she ius being worked on.

I have asked them to make another one for the pan but I am not sure how long before it will be ready. When do you need it?

Have decided to get the bug worked on soon, so I will get something put together and warn the panel beater not to lean on it too much 😀
The car trailer was just to shift the body over to the panel beaters, but I will check at work. There is bound to be a few there, I see a couple in the car park on Base near where I work, so I should be able to borrow one of them................... Now if I can just coinvince them that I am a nice officer 😉

As for clubs... not sure yet. Am curious about one, but have been told to join another.... :alien will work it out in the wash 🙂

Nope, I didn't as I still haven't finished... but, someone else did. I had a mate with a VW engine disaster out of canberra, so I dropped them to him and they are chugging along in a 74 (?) bug soemwhere south of you now 🙂
Thanks for those, he was very gratefull... as well as taking a few other bits I had stashed away for a rainy day :bounce

Was looking at the wood option, may just whack up a frame and bolt a few bits of 100 x 50 together with castors. Only has to last a few weeks I think (HOPE!!!!!!!!!!!):jesus

Cheers

Well, the laplaps wouldn't be soooooo bad, if they weren't disco pink to clask with those jackets!!

Besides, I don't wear dangly earrings or rah rah skirts... my ears hurt with dangly earrings and I just don't have the legs for the skirts!

:P (runs and finds friendly greenpeace ship and asks for political asylum... preferably nowhere near a french holiday resort)

Cool,
I'll stop intot eh Mobil and check it out, its on my way back into town from here. Thats a hell of a lot more realistic than Sydney costs. I was told $96 for 12 hrs last time I had to look for one, (Thats when Jay broke down), cos apart from taking my VW to the panel beaters I have to go back to Sydney and pick up my motor bike from the mechanics as well. Thats a few days worth of hire. Thanks Gawd I am back in QLD, bloody NSW prices for things!!!!

As for 80's gear... ummm. do I own anything else??????? I have no fashion sense, thats why I wear a uniform to work, that way I can't be wrong (well I can be, but its real hard) :P:duh
