this afternoon our place got adopted by a gorgeous stray boxer/staffy/ridgeback cross. she just walked straight in, looked at me and followed us around (to the shops, back from the shops, to the car... everywhere)
poor thing cant be older than a year and looks like shes just had a litter 🙁 i dont know where her pups are and she doesnt seem to be looking for them either which is a bit of a worry. i dont think she has been fed for a few weeks either, ive never seen such a skinny dog :cussing
otherwise, shes amazingly healthy and very well trained and obedient. poor thing🙁
shes now stolen the beanbag as her bed and seems to be snoring!
just incase anyone knows of a dog thats gone missing around bardon/paddington/red hill area... otherwise we are keeping her, and calling her pumpkin🙂

There's a pet shop at the uphill end of Paddington, maybe you should stick a note in their window for the owner to see. Also, let the RSPCA know, because the owner may have contacted them.

Wow, she's a good looking dog, dogs rule and cats drool (although in reality often the other way around)
Abandoning animals and or abuse to animals sucks and if i ever catch anyone doing it God help them! (not saying this is abused, just thought i would through that in!)😀
took her to the vet today, they say shes healthy but will be needing lots of care.
we have to milk her because shes swollen with milk and it is causing her pain 🙁
i cant believe someone has neglected a beautiful dog like her!

good to see she has gone to a good home.
but i hope that you are taking steps to find her other family.

Milking your dog...thats kinda funny! Necessity of course though. Didn't a movie recently (Road Trip or something like that) refer to someone trying to milk a cat....hmmm....I hate when I can't remember what movie these useless chunks of memory come from!
Lovely pup by the way, they certainly bring you lots of joy and laughs (and anger at times but only when they are naughty!). Good to hear that if the owners can't be found you will take care of her.
this is an excellent example of why microchips are so important for dogs. I am a vet and can tell you that many are found quickly because of them. The thing is though, that Queensland doesnt have a system to store and retreive microchip numbers and it is not law in queensland to have a microchip like it is in NSW(where i practice). If i was a dog owner in queensland i would be contacting my local council to find out why they dont have a program in place to use microchips. If you are in queensland one option is when you get your dog/cat microchipped you can pay 5$ to be registerd on registry that covers all of australia. But the missing link is that if the council or the vet or rspca you take the lost dog to doesnt have a microchip scanner, then it is a waist of time...hopefully there will be some system soon that will be simple for all States to use...anyway...good luck

The movie you refer to is Meet the Parents with Robert de Niro and Ben Stiller. I work at blockbuster! Interestingly a customer brought this lovely dog in today that was a pure bread something, very tall and grey with very light brown eyes, well behaved but it had been dumped. Its just so sad when things like that happen.
She could have got lost a week ago with the storms, hence the skinny-ness as she would be putting lots of calories into her milk. Lucky she found you!
kkk
Microchips rule, all our pets are chipped, one of them got stolen a couple of times but always got returned thanks to her chip. 😎
Hey, did you think of making cheese from the milk? I reckon you could make a fortune selling a rare delicacy like dog's-milk cheese! 😀
