Thanks for the comments folks, yep it was a great day. Kilbroney is a the biggest classic car show in Great Britain (apparantly) with over 1000 vehicle entries, It's now on the first Saturday in September every year (used to be in June but kept getting rained off)
There were about 35 VW's on our club stand and about another half dozen or so scattered around the showground. it was a great day and there were some great cars there too, everything from a 100 year old Rolls Royce to Mini Coopers and oddities like NSU RO80's a couple of years ago a guy turned up in a Scorpion Tank which was cool 😀
In case you're wondering about my name change I forgot my password, requested a new one, then found the old one which now doesn't work and I'm still waiting for the new one to be sent - it's been about 6 hours. So I said 'sod it' and re-registered..

that my friend is very impressive. I'm astonished by the landscape, I've always thought of Ireland as being codl rainy and crap like the rest of the UK, hence me Great Grandparents ditching the joint to come here. But looks bloody fantastic. Hooray for the Irish, if it weren't for them , getting smashed of ya face may be seen as offensive.

Yep sometimes it stops raining long enough to have a wee show or two 😀 most of the time it is crap though like you say...
and yes that is a satellite dish on that van, the van is more practical than 'showable' as it sports a diesel engine from a golf and quite a few other home comforts, but from the outside it looks like a real shed...
